Tentoonstelling De Wezen Spreken
De tentoonstelling ‘De Wezen Spreken’ geeft een inkijkje in het dagelijks leven van de wezen die van 1583 tot 1961 in het weeshuis aan de Hooglandse Kerkgracht woonden. Op het hoogtepunt woonden er naar schatting ruim 1.250 kinderen.
Part of the exhibition is a visit to the living room of the so-called indoor father and mother, the Regents' room and the former children's room. There is also a moving film to see with interviews of former orphans and a film about the building's construction history.
