Meet the Romans of Legio Secunda Augusta Have you always wanted to meet real Romans? Then this is your chance! Legio Secunda Augusta, a living history group, camps in the Temple Hall for two days.

This living history group comes to liven up your museum visit as a Roman legion from the first century AD. Moreover, you will encounter 'ordinary' Romans everywhere in the museum. They talk about their lives and work.

Romans at the Rapenburg In the Temple Hall you can see Roman soldiers and civilians at work up close, while in the museum halls various characters talk about their profession. They use counterfeit tools. You can see the real ones next to them in the display cases. Legio Secunda Augusta will provide many unexpected encounters this weekend and show some revolutionary developments of the Romans.

Legion Secunda Augusta Legio Secunda Augusta is a living history group that portrays Roman and indigenous life of the first hundred years AD through reenactment. The group consists of soldiers and civilians. The soldiers show you Roman soldier life, while the citizens work leather, make clothes, cook, lay mosaics, massage, etc.
