The Hideous Horrors walk comprises four booklets with four different characters. Allocate the roles and experience an unforgettable journey through Leiden. Take Marie de Slegte, for example: a cold-blooded murderess from the 17th century, or Cornelis de Groot, a stern and merciless policeman. They and the other characters tell the story of crime and justice in Leiden. Answer exciting questions and complete the activities and it will soon be clear that severe punishments were nothing unusual in the 17th century. Beheadings, hangings and drownings were an almost everyday occurrence… Do you dare to join in this walk?

The Hideous Horrors walk is suitable for children in the top years of primary school, accompanied by an adult. A package for four children is available for €7.50 from the VVV Leiden Tourist Information Office or via the webshop.
