On May 1, Museum De Lakenhal will celebrate its 150th anniversary: ​​in 1874, the old Laecken-Halle was renamed the city museum of Leiden and opened to the general public.

The museum celebrates this milestone with free admission and numerous festive activities such as flash lectures, children's lectures, creative assignments about the museum of the future, musical performances by Jong K&G and Inneruu and more. In the evening, visitors can enjoy musical performances and scent tours during the Night of the Senses. The first 150 visitors of the day will receive a piece of cake.
