In any case, a map from 1600 already shows a building on this spot. The building as we find it today dates from the 17th century and has traditionally been a private house. The facade on the Apothekersdijk shows that the building is divided into a front and rear part. The rear section (left) consists of a basement and upstairs room. The basement door and window are just above the ground.
