Stadsganzenbord

The most important part of the game is the map, an authentic map of the city as it was in the 17th century. Players must use it to find their way around the city. And that means a constant comparison between how it was then and how it is now. Is this the right spot? Yes, but this street used to be a canal. And look, that church was already there then.
Questions and tasks encourage the players to have a good look around, read gable stones and solve puzzles. This is how the city’s stories unfold and the players visit all the lovely locations (if you find the way).

The Stadsganzenbord scavenger hunt is a team game for groups and therefore ideally suited for family and company outings. The game is intentionally kept low-tech; paper, pen and dice are the most important game materials.
The Stadsganzenbord can now be played in eight cities in the country and is steadily expanding. Naturally, the Stadsganzenbord Leiden tells the story of Leiden's Siege and Relief and covers the young Rembrandt, the ancient Burcht castle and the first university in the Netherlands.
