Jan Michelshofje
This Almhouse was founded in 1687 by Catharina Geschier, widow of Jan Michielsz (Jean Michel). Several houses had already been purchased starting in 1680.
These older houses were incorporated into the courtyard. The gate dates from 1610. The houses were intended for four married couples and eight women, either unmarried or widowed. The residents were members of the Protestant Walloon community.
