The Wereldmuseum Leiden is hosting a workshop for the Hindu holiday Raksha Bandhan at the Wereldclub studio. During this workshop, you’ll make your own bracelet inspired by the traditional rakhi. You can give it to your beloved brother or sister.
Raksha Bandhan is a Hindu holiday that means “bond of protection.” Traditionally, brothers and sisters give each other a piece of jewelry or a protective cord called a “rakhi,” which you will make during this workshop.
Raksha Bandhan celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters. It is celebrated in August on the day of the full moon.
