Groot Sions Almshouse
Founded by Hugo van Zwieten and his wife Luytgairt Claisdochter van Boschuyzen.
From 1480 to 1668, the almshouse was located on Papengracht, after which it moved to Sionsteeg. The almshouse was intended for needy married couples. When the men died, the widows had to leave their homes. In 1640, the Klein Sionshof on Schoolsteeg was founded for these widows.
