Discover even more science at this museum. You're standing at the Rijksmuseum Boerhaave. You might be thinking, what a strange name? This museum is named after Hermann Boerhaave, who used to work as a doctor in Leiden. He used herbs and plants from the Hortus Botanicus Leiden to make medicines. He was the first professor to visit people in their homes instead of having them come to him. He brought his students along to learn about medicine.

Visit this museum to learn more about medical science, mathematics, or the history of physics.
