The Old Catholic Church in Leiden has unique murals by Chris Lebeau (1875–1945), which are now almost a century old.
Lebeau, a versatile Art Nouveau and Art Deco artist, called himself a “religious anarcho-communist” and expressed his idiosyncratic view of religion in the murals. Volunteers are present to give guided tours and answer questions about the murals.
