Sometimes words want to move forward but take a different path. Stuttering takes center stage during this edition of the CORPUS Kids Academy. Children discover and experience what stuttering feels like, which parts of the body play a role in it, and the impact that reactions from others can have.

Children step into the shoes of a real scientist and conduct their own experiments. They test their knowledge about stuttering, try to complete a steady-hand wire game without touching the wire, and tell a story without using certain words. In doing so, they playfully experience the impact stuttering—and the avoidance of words—can have on a conversation. Children can join in on free activities on a drop-in basis between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. No registration is required; simply drop by whenever it suits you.
