Leidens Ontzet - Relief of Leiden
On October 3, we celebrate and commemorate the Relief of Leiden.
On October 3, we celebrate and commemorate Leiden's Relief. From early in the morning until late in the evening, young and old celebrate that Leiden was liberated from the Spanish in 1574 and we commemorate the importance of freedom. From Reveille, herring & white bread presentation, the Remembrance Service in the Pieterskerk and Luna Park to the street theater festival, Children's Park, October 3 University, Grand Parade, Pole Vault and much more!
