Abstracted landscapes by Freek Steijsiger

Steijsiger draws his inspiration primarily from nature, which he depicts in a personal and abstract manner. His creative process is spontaneous and intuitive, involving immersion, stepping back, observing, and experimenting to arrive at a harmonious color composition. Freek Steijsiger paints with oil paint, often in combination with sand or gold leaf. This technique results in colorful and expressive compositions that invite the viewer to interpret.

Freek Steijsiger (1957) has exhibited his work in galleries in various cities, including Dordrecht, Haarlem, Alphen aan den Rijn, Paris, Venice, Bologna, and recently in Dubai. He is self-taught.
