Lunapark Fair
The Leidse Lunapark is one of the oldest and most beloved parts of the 3 October Festival in Leiden. Like a colorful ribbon, the fair winds its way through the city center, offering fun and entertainment for young and old alike.

If you’re craving a tasty treat, there is plenty to choose from, including German bratwurst, fries, hamburgers, *oliebollen* (Dutch doughnuts), churros, cotton candy, popcorn, and much more. For classic *poffertjes* (mini pancakes), head to the Lammermarkt or Stationsplein.
Low-sensory fair
A tip for those wishing to visit the fair in a low-sensory environment: on October 2nd, the fair will be extra quiet between 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM, with reduced sound and lighting. It’s a great time to visit and look around without the usual crowds.
