Fishing for rubbish - Let's Bloomit
Sail along with 'De Grachtwacht' through Leiden, fish out rubbish and receive a nice reward.
Rubbish in the canals does not belong there, of course. 'De Grachtwacht' is committed to cleaner waters in Leiden – and with Let's Bloomit, Love Leiden, you can join in.
This campaign is part of Let's Bloomit. Leave the city even more beautiful after your visit than it was before you arrived. That way, we can make Leiden bloom for everyone.
What you are going to do
Fishing for rubbish - De Grachtwacht
1. Register with De Grachtwacht via degrachtwacht.nl/cleanupseen
2. Borrow a scoop net or grabber and go fishing with canoes for rubbish in the canals
3. Hand in the rubbish to De Grachtwacht
4. Receive a voucher for a free Science Route at Leiden Tourist Information or visit to the Young Rembrandt Studio
De Grachtwacht takes to the water every Sunday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Marebrug.
