Plastic Fishing, Let's Bloomit
Rubbish in Leiden's canals does not belong there, of course. Together with its volunteers, Stichting de Leidse Rederij is committed to cleaner waters in Leiden – and you can participate in exchange for a nice reward. Let's Bloomit!
Come along, borrow a landing net or litter picker, fish rubbish out of the canal and hand it in at the Leidse Rederij. As a thank you, you will receive a token worth approximately €3.
Hand in the voucher at various locations for a cup of coffee/tea, a visit to the Young Rembrandt Studio or a free Science Route at VVV Leiden.
This promotion is part of Let's Bloomit. Leave the city even more beautiful than it was before you arrived. That way, we can make Leiden bloom for everyone.
What you are going to do
Plastic fishing, Let's Bloomit
How does the campaign work?
1. Register with the Leidse Rederij.
2. Come along for a boat trip, receive a scoop net or grabber and start fishing for floating litter in the canal.
3. Hand in the litter to the Leidse Rederij.
4. Receive your reward immediately.
Whether you fish out one can or half a bin bag, every little bit helps. Together, we can make Leiden's canals a little bit more beautiful – in a fun way, of course.
The Leidse Rederij takes to the water every Tuesday between 11:00 and 12:00.
The start is at 11:00 at the Leidse Rederij on the Apothekersdijk.
