Museum De Lakenhal is the visual arts, history and crafts museum of the city of Leiden.

World-renowned collection

Discover the rich history of the city of Leiden in this museum. Through seven presentations, visitors learn more about Leiden as a university town, the Leids Laken and the Leids Ontzet. Museum De Lakenhal features works by Dutch masters such as Rembrandt and Jan Steen, as well as modern artists such as Theo van Doesburg and Floris Verster.

Night at the museum

Every second Friday of the month, you are welcome after work to enjoy a wealth of inspiration and knowledge before your night out on the town! Visit Lakenhal Laat and join an in-depth programme consisting of guided tours, lectures, performances, workshops and music.

Collection
