On the ramparts

Molen de Valk is a tower mill built in 1743. It is the last original mill of the nineteen that once adorned Leiden's ramparts.

Windmill De Valk

The mill became a museum in 1966, after the death of the last miller. It is the only remaining city miller's house in the Netherlands, and it exudes the atmosphere of the 1900s. The wings of the mill can regularly be seen turning, and the walkway offers an incredible view over Leiden. Windmill De Valk is part of Erfgoed Leiden en Omstreken.
