Hotel De Doelen
Hotel De Doelen is situated in a historical building with a long history. Uniquely located on Rapenburg, one of the most beautiful canals of the Netherlands, and established in a rustic Patrician house, built in 1638.
In 1978, the Bakker family, then owner of this beautiful building, transformed it into a hotel, at that time including the famous De Doelen Restaurant. Even after many modifications and renovations, you can still see the various characteristics of those days of yore.
Hotel De Doelen is situated in the beautiful city centre of Leiden. Close to the lively shopping street and market (on Wednesday and Saturday), fun sidewalk cafés adjacent to the water, several lovely eateries, cinemas, beautiful museums, the Hortus Botanicus gardens and the Academy Building of the Leiden University.
The hotel is located at about a 7-minute walk from the station.
