Above the ground (Boven het maaiveld)
In Above the Ground you will see the most striking and controversial discoveries from 25 years of Dutch archeology (2000-2025), with special finds from all over the country, from Maastricht to Texel.
The exhibition presents more than five hundred objects, which come from around two hundred sites. During excavations, the objects literally emerged 'above ground level' and figuratively stand out because of their meaning and value. All Dutch provinces are represented, including the Caribbean islands of the ABCSSS group. All types of diggers also pass by, from government agencies to detector seekers and volunteers.
