Raga Impressions

Composer and pianist, Sinta Wullur, asked Indian musicians to collaborate with her on piano, blending classical music from India and the West into a new genre. The program consists of improvisations based on the Indian way of interpreting the raga, with influences from different music styles due to the fusion of cultures. 

Sinta Wullur has mixed Indonesian gamelan rhythms with classical piano techniques and applied them to Indian music, creating references to classical, minimal, and film music. In addition to the improvisations, the program features compositions by Philip Glass, Heiko Dijker, and Sinta Wullur.
