Walk-in concert Practicum Musicae

Surprise concert with music from three centuries.
Double students from Leiden University and the Royal Conservatoire will give their next surprise concert in their monthly series this season in the Lokhorstkerk. The program includes beautiful music from three centuries, including a Sinfonia in C for keyboard by J.S. Bach, songs for soprano with piano by Purcell and Quilter, Pièce pour flute seule by Ibert, a Fantasia for solo guitar by Weiss, and piano works such as the Impromptu in E flat by Schubert, Prélude "Palmier d'étoiles" by Mompou and Étude “Tableau“ by Rachmaninoff. For these concerts, the church now has a Steinway concert grand piano at its disposal!
